Learn about rss

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, and makes it possible for subscribers to be kept informed of activity shortly after it occurs. For example, if you would like to be informed of bill activity you may subscribe to our bill update RSS feed. This file is updated every time our system becomes aware of a change to bills (as often as every ten minutes during session). To have RSS feeds delivered to you, you must have an aggregator, also known as a feed reader. There are a number of aggregators online, many of them free. With a little bit of searching you should be able to find one that appeals to you. Once you find an aggregator you like, you can add our feed to it in one of two ways. We offer an XML button that you can click on. In some aggregators this will automatically add that feed to your aggregator. If it does not, you may need to copy and paste the URL (ex. http://www.legislature.mi.gov/documents/publications/RssFeeds/billupdate.xml) into the box where you would add a feed to your aggregator or reader.
