Committee Meeting
Meetings by bodies of elected members delegated by the House or Senate to consider and make recommendations concerning disposition of bills, resolutions, and other related matters referred to them. Committees are appointed by the Speaker of the House or the Senate Majority Leader and are organized according to subject matter.
HB 4247 (Rep. Matt Koleszar) Higher education: financial aid; tuition assistance benefits for certain survivors of Michigan police officers and Michigan fire fighters killed in the line of duty; modify.
HB 4263 (Rep. Brad Paquette) Retirement: public school employees; calculation of unfunded actuarial accrued liability contributions; modify.
HB 4264 (Rep. Steven Johnson) Retirement: state employees; method to calculate unfunded actuarial liability; revise.
HB 4265 (Rep. Ann Bollin) Retirement: judges; method to calculate unfunded actuarial accrued liability; revise, and provide for certain members to opt out of retiree health benefits.
HB 4266 (Rep. Tommy Brann) Retirement: state police; calculation of unfunded actuarial accrued liability contributions; modify.
And any other business properly before the committee.
