ADDENDUM TO SENATE FISCAL AGENCY ANALYSIS OF SB 1019 DATED 4-16-98:


HOUSE COMMITTEE ACTION:


The House committee on Insurance amended the bill to exclude telemarketing or other marketing instruction from the subject of "principles of agency management." In order to apply as continuing education credit for licensure renewal for either life-health insurance agents or property casualty insurance agents, the subject of "principles of agency management" could not include telemarketing or other marketing instruction.

The Michigan Association of Life Underwriters supports the bill. (12-3-98)


The Insurance Bureau does not oppose the bill. (12-3-98)
