A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILLS 6254-6278 AS INTRODUCED 11-5-98


Public Act 58 of 1998 recodified the Michigan Liquor Control Act and renamed it as the Michigan Liquor Control Code of 1998. House Bills 6254 through 6278 would amend various statutes to revise and update references to the code as follows:


House Bill 6254 would amend Public Act 196 of 1989 (MCL 780.901), which governs the Crime Victim Services Commission and the Crime Victim's Rights Fund.


House Bill 6255 would amend the Crime Victim's Rights Act (MCL 780.781 and 780.811).


House Bill 6256 would amend the Michigan Penal Code (MCL 750.141a et al.).


House Bill 6257 would amend the Revised Judicature Act (MCL 600.113 and 600.8511).


House Bill 6258 would amend the Insurance Code (MCL 500.2405).


House Bill 6259 would amend Public Act 156 of 1851 (MCL 46.10b), which governs county boards of commissioners.


House Bill 6260 would amend the Home Rule City Act (MCL 117.4l).


House Bill 6261 would amend Chapter IX of the Fourth Class City Act, entitled "Ordinances" (MCL 89.2).


House Bill 6262 would amend Chapter X of the Fourth Class City Act, entitled "Enforcement of Ordinances" (MCL 91.1).


House Bill 6263 would amend the Home Rule Village Act (MCL 78.25a).


House Bill 6264 would amend the General Law Village Act (MCL 66.2).


House Bill 6265 would amend the State Employees' Retirement Act (MCL 38.17l and 38.19).


House Bill 6266 would amend the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act (MCL 37.2304).


House Bill 6267 would amend Public Act 302 of 1982 (MCL 18.421), which pertains to

the Michigan Justice Training Commission.


House Bill 6268 would amend the Michigan Vehicle Code (MCL 257.303 et al.)


House Bill 6269 would amend the Public Health Code (MCL 333.12905).


House Bill 6270 would amend the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act (MCL 432.210).


House Bill 6271 would amend the Michigan Liquor Control Code (MCL 436.1811, 436.1916, and 436.2113).


House Bill 6272 would amend the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act (MCL 432.204a).


House Bill 6273 would amend the Revised School Code (MCL 380.1535a).


House Bill 6274 would amend Public Act 293 of 1966 (MCL 45.515a), which governs charter counties.


House Bill 6275 would amend Public Act 139 of 1973 (MCL 45.556a), relating to county government.


House Bill 6276 would amend the Charter Township Act (MCL 42.21).


House Bill 6277 would amend Public Act 246 of 1945 (MCL 41.183), which governs townships.


House Bill 6278 would amend the Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act (MCL 37.1103).
