CONTENT


The bill would amend the Neighborhood Enterprise Zone Act to provide that a "new facility" or a "rehabilitated facility" would not include a casino. "Casino" would mean a casino or a parking lot, hotel, motel, or retail store owned or operated by a casino, an affiliate, or an affiliated company, regulated by the State under the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act.


(Under the Neighborhood Enterprise Zone Act, a new or rehabilitated facility in a neighborhood enterprise zone is exempt from the general property tax and subject to the neighborhood enterprise zone tax.)
