CONTENT
The bill would amend the Plant Rehabilitation and Industrial Development Districts Act to provide that a speculative building, a new facility, or a replacement facility would not include a casino. (Under the Act, a speculative building or a new or replacement facility located in a plant rehabilitation or industrial development district is exempt from the general property tax and subject to the industrial facility tax.) "Casino" would mean a casino or a parking lot, hotel, motel, or retail store owned or operated by a casino, an affiliate, or an affiliated company, regulated by the State under the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act.
