A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4522 AS INTRODUCED 4-20-99


The bill would amend the Penal Code to prohibit the sale of firearm ammunition to someone that the seller knows or should know is intoxicated. Under the bill, a seller who violated this provision would be guilty of a misdemeanor and would face imprisonment for up to one year and/or a fine of up to $5,000.
