Part 425 of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act (NREPA) establishes license fees for persons who buy and sell furs. House Bill 4883 would increase these fees, as follows:




CURRENT FEES PROPOSED FEES

Buying and selling raw furs, hides, or the pelts of fur-bearing animals, or the hides of protected game birds and game animals.

$10

$10 for a resident

$200 for a nonresident

Buying raw pelts to manufacture furs. $10 for a resident

$50 for a nonresident

$10 for a resident

$200 for a nonresident
