A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5313 AS INTRODUCED 2-8-00


The bill would amend the Revised Judicature Act to provide an increase in the compensation paid to jurors for their service. Currently, the act requires the county board of commissioners to set the amounts that jurors are to receive for their service. The amount is required to be no less than $15 for a full day's service and no less than $7.50 for a half day. House Bill 5313 would increase these minimum amounts to no less than $50 per full day and $25 per half day.
