A SUMMARY OF HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION "G" AS INTRODUCED 3-18-99

The joint resolution proposes an amendment to the Article IV, Section 26 of the state constitution so that it would take a three-fifths vote of the members elected to and serving in each house of the legislature to enact a law that would impose, expand the base of, or increase the rate of a state tax, or that would repeal an exemption from a state tax.
