        A bill to amend 1913 PA 379, entitled

   "An act to facilitate the collection of alimony and support and
   maintenance for minor children or for children who are 18 years
   of age or older ordered to be paid in suits for divorce or sepa-
   rate maintenance,"

   by amending section 2 (MCL 552.152).

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 1         Sec. 2.  (1) When  any such  A decree or order
              shall

 2     stipulate  DESCRIBED IN SECTION 1 ORDERS payments
                       to be made to

 3    the clerk of the court,  or to  the friend of the
             court, OR THE

 4    STATE DISBURSEMENT UNIT and  any of such payments shall be

 5    PAYMENT IS in default, the party prejudiced may make a motion

 6    before  such  THE court showing by records in the
             clerk's or

 7    friend of the court's office, or otherwise, that  such

 8    default has occurred, and the court may  forthwith 
             issue an

 9    attachment to arrest the party in default and bring  him

 1    PARTY immediately before the court to answer for  such
             neglect 

 2    THE DEFAULT.

 3         (2) AS USED IN THIS ACT, "STATE DISBURSEMENT UNIT" OR "SDU"

 4    MEANS THE ENTITY ESTABLISHED IN SECTION 6 OF THE OFFICE OF CHILD

 5    SUPPORT ACT, 1971 PA 174, MCL 400.236.

 6         Enacting section 1.  This amendatory act does not take

 7    effect unless Senate Bill No. _____ or House Bill No. _____

 8    (request no. 03398'99) of the 90th Legislature is enacted into

 9    law.
