        A bill to amend 1998 PA 58, entitled

   "Michigan liquor control code of 1998,"

   by amending section 515 (MCL 436.1515).

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 1         Sec. 515.  (1) The commission may issue in a county with a

 2    population of 1,000,000 or more, without regard to the quota pro-

 3    visions of section 531, a class C license for a golf course that

 4    is owned by a county, city, village, or township and is open to

 5    the public.

 6         (2) THE COMMISSION MAY ISSUE, WITHOUT REGARD TO THE QUOTA

 7    PROVISIONS OF SECTION 531, A LICENSE FOR THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC

 8    LIQUOR FOR CONSUMPTION ON THE LICENSED PREMISES FOR A GOLF COURSE

 9    THAT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND OWNED BY AN AUTHORITY ORGANIZED

10    PURSUANT TO 1939 PA 147, MCL 119.51 TO 119.62.

 1         (3)  (2)  The commission shall not transfer a
             license issued

 2    under this section to another location.  If a licensee who

 3    receives a license under this section goes out of business, the

 4    license issued under this section shall be surrendered to the

 5    commission.
