        A bill to create an awards program; and to authorize the

   governor to make certain awards.

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

           Sec. 1.  (1) The captain of the lakes award program is cre-

      ated with the office of the governor.

 3
           (2) The governor may award the captain of the lakes award to

 4
      individuals who display the ideals that make this state great.
