        A bill to amend 1851 PA 156, entitled

   "An act to define the powers and duties of the county boards of
   commissioners of the several counties, and to confer upon them
   certain local, administrative and legislative powers; and to pre-
   scribe penalties for the violation of the provisions of this
   act,"

   (MCL 46.1 to 46.32) by adding section 13c.

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

           SEC. 13C.  A COUNTY OFFICER WHO RESIGNS HIS OR HER ELECTED

      POSITION SHALL NOT BE APPOINTED, WITHIN 1 YEAR OF THE RESIGNA-

      TION, TO ANY POSITION IN THE COUNTY OVER WHICH THE OFFICER, WHILE

 4
      IN OFFICE, HAD INFLUENCE WITH RESPECT TO HIRING.
