SENATE BILL NO. 58


   January 26, 1999, Introduced by Senators NORTH, KOIVISTO, 
        BENNETT, ROGERS, GOSCHKA and BULLARD and referred to 
        the Committee on Government Operations.



        A bill to amend 1968 PA 173, entitled

   "An act naming certain state buildings,"

   by amending section 1 (MCL 19.131), as amended by 1982 PA 229.

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 1         Sec. 1.  The state transportation department building in the

 2    capitol complex, Lansing, Michigan, shall be designated and known

 3    as the  "state  MURRAY D. VAN WAGONER
             transportation building,

 4     "  and the building occupied by the department of
             treasury shall

 5    be designated and known as the  "  state treasury
             building.   ".
