A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5367 AS INTRODUCED 11-1-01
The bill would amend the Michigan Penal Code to make it a misdemeanor to knowingly provide false information to the children's ombudsman (or an investigator appointed by the children's ombudsman) regarding any matter under investigation, or to otherwise hinder an investigation. The misdemeanor would be punishable by imprisonment for up to 93 days or a fine not exceeding $100, or both.
