CONTENT


The bill would amend the Revised School Code to extend indefinitely a provision that prohibits public schools and public school academies from holding classes on the Friday before Labor Day. Currently, this applies only during the 2000-2001, 2001-2002, and 2002-2003 school years. The bill would delete the specific school years from the prohibition.


"Labor day" is defined as the first Monday in September.
