CONTENT


The bill would amend the Public Health Code to provide that, at the request of a patient, a member of the patient's family, a patient's physician, the patient's designated patient advocate, or the patient's legal guardian, a hospital would have to provide information orally and in writing to the requesting party regarding hospice and palliative care services, and the availability of hospice care in the area in which the hospital was located. The hospital would have to provide the information whether or not the hospital provided hospice care.
