A bill to create a right of reentry in property that is transferred from a city, village, or township to this state. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT: 1 Sec. 1. (1) A city, village, or township that transfers any 2 real property to this state for a designated purpose may reenter 3 and repossess the property, terminating this state's estate in 4 the property, if this state ceases to use the real property for 5 the designated purpose. 6 (2) If this state disputes the exercise by a city, village, 7 or township of its right of reentry under this section and fails 8 promptly to deliver possession of the property, the city, vil- 9 lage, or township may bring an action to quiet title to, and 10 regain possession of, the property. 03350'01 ** Final page.
