on Transportation.


        A bill to name a certain portion of highway I-94 the "94th

   Combat Infantry Division Memorial Highway"; and to prescribe cer-

   tain duties of the state transportation department.

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

           Sec. 1.  That portion of highway I-94 beginning at exit 92

 2
      and continuing east to the M-66 exit shall be named the "94th

 3
      Combat Infantry Division Memorial Highway".

           Sec. 2.  The state transportation department shall only pro-

 5
      vide for the erection and maintenance of suitable markers indi-

 6
      cating the name of the highway when sufficient private contribu-

 7
      tions are received to completely cover the cost of erecting and

 8
      maintaining those markers.
