A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled "The Michigan penal code," by amending sections 503 and 504 (MCL 750.503 and 750.504). THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT: 1 Sec. 503. Punishment of felonies when not fixed by 2 statute--A IF A person IS convicted of a crime declared in this 3 or any other act of the state of Michigan, to be a felony , 4 for which no other punishment is specially prescribed, by any 5 statute in force at the time of the conviction and sentence, 6 shall be punished THE PERSON IS GUILTY OF A FELONY PUNISHABLE by 7 imprisonment in the state prison for not more than 4 years or 8 by a fine of not more than 2,000 dollars $5,000.00, or by 9 both. such fine and imprisonment. 10 Sec. 504.
