CONTENT


The bill would amend the Michigan Vehicle Code to increase the damage amount that triggers a traffic accident reporting requirement. The Code requires a driver involved in a motor vehicle accident to report the accident to the police if it injures or kills a person or damages property to an apparent extent that totals $400 or more. Under the bill, the damage threshold would be $1,000.
