SENATE SUBSTITUTE FOR

HOUSE BILL NO. 4930

                                                                             A bill to amend 1998 PA 58, entitled                                              

"Michigan liquor control code of 1998,"                                     

by amending section 515 (MCL 436.1515).                                     

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

1       Sec. 515.  (1) The commission may issue in a county with a                  

2   population of 1,000,000 or more, without regard to the quota                

3   provisions of section 531, a class C license for a golf course              

4   that is owned by a county, city, village, or township and is open           

5   to the public.                                                              

6   (2) The commission may issue in a county with a population of               

7   between 500,000 and 700,000, without regard to the quota                    

8   provisions of section 531, 1 tavern license for a golf course               

9   that is owned by a city with a population of over 190,000 but               

10  under 300,000 and is open to the public.

11  (3)  (2)  The commission shall not transfer a license issued                

1   under this section to another location.  If a licensee who                  

2   receives a license under this section goes out of business, the             

3   license issued under this section shall be surrendered to the               

4   commission.                                                                 

5       Enacting section 1.  This amendatory act does not take                      

6   effect unless House Bill No.  4232 of the 92nd Legislature is               

7   enacted into law.
