SENATE SUBSTITUTE FOR

HOUSE BILL NO. 5177

                                                                             A bill to amend 1927 PA 175, entitled                                             

"The code of criminal procedure,"                                           

by amending section 16a of chapter XVII (MCL 777.16a), as amended           

by 2000 PA 279.                                                             

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

1                              CHAPTER XVII                                     

2       Sec. 16a.  This chapter applies to the following felonies                   

3   enumerated in chapter 750 of the Michigan Compiled Laws:

9       Enacting section 1.  This amendatory act takes effect 90                    

10  days after it is enacted.                                                   

11      Enacting section 2.  This amendatory act does not take                      

12  effect unless all of the following bills of the 92nd Legislature            

13  are enacted into law:                                                       

14      (a) House Bill No. 5174.                                                    

15      (b) House Bill No. 5178.
