                                                                                 A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled                                             

                                                                                

    "Michigan election law,"                                                    

                                                                                

    by amending section 699 (MCL 168.699).                                      

                                                                                

                THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:                      

                                                                                

1       Sec. 699.  At the general November election, the names of                   

                                                                                

2   the several nonpartisan offices to be voted for shall be placed             

                                                                                

3   on a separate  judicial  portion of the ballot containing no                

                                                                                

4   party designation in the following order:  justices of the                  

                                                                                

5   supreme court, judges of the court of appeals, judges of the                

                                                                                

6   circuit court, judges of the probate court,  and circuit court              

                                                                                

7   commissioners in the years in which they are elected  judges of             

                                                                                

8   the district court, the following village officers in                       

                                                                                

9   substantially the following order in the year in which elections            

                                                                                

10  for the offices are held:  president, clerk, treasurer, and                 

                                                                                

11  trustees, and in a year in which an election for the office is              

                                                                                


                                                                                

1   held, school board member.
