A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled
"Public health code,"
(MCL 333.1101 to 333.25211) by adding section 20195a.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 20195a. (1) A health facility or agency in which
2 invasive surgical procedures are performed or in which the
3 employees have other occupational exposure to blood or other
4 potentially infectious material shall comply with the laundering
5 requirements of R 325.70011 of the Michigan administrative code.
6 A health facility or agency described in this subsection shall
7 not allow or require an employee who participates in invasive
8 surgical procedures or has exposure to blood or other potentially
9 infectious material to take his or her work clothes home for
10 laundering.
11 (2) As used in this section, "other potentially infectious
1 material" means that term as defined in R 325.70002 of the
2 Michigan administrative code.
