                                                                                 A bill to amend 1974 PA 150, entitled                                             

                                                                                

    "Youth rehabilitation services act,"                                        

                                                                                

    (MCL 803.301 to 803.309) by adding section 4n.                              

                                                                                

                THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:                      

                                                                                

1       Sec. 4n.  (1) A youth agency shall develop and implement an                 

                                                                                

2   individualized education program as required in section 614 of              

                                                                                

3   part B of title VI of the individuals with disabilities education           

                                                                                

4   act, 20 USC 1414, for each public ward certified as requiring               

                                                                                

5   special education programs and services.                                    

                                                                                

6       (2) The individualized education plan required under                        

                                                                                

7   subsection (1) shall include at least all of the following:                 

                                                                                

8       (a) Documentation regarding the public ward's present level                 

                                                                                

9   of performance.                                                             

                                                                                

10      (b) Established measurable goals and objectives.                            

                                                                                

11      (c) Any related services and program modifications required                 

                                                                                


                                                                                

1   to address the public ward's educational needs.                             

                                                                                

2       (3) The youth agency shall require that an interdisciplinary                

                                                                                

3   team develop the public ward's individualized education program             

                                                                                

4   required under subsection (1).
