A bill to amend 1921 PA 207, entitled
"City and village zoning act,"
by amending section 12 (MCL 125.592).
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 12. (1) A zoning ordinance or zoning decision shall
2 not have the effect of totally prohibiting the establishment of a
3 land use within a city or village in the presence of a
4 demonstrated need for that land use within either the city or
5 village or the surrounding area within the state, unless a
6 location within the city or village does not exist where the use
7 may be appropriately located or the use is unlawful.
8 (2) A city or village shall not be required to have more than
9 20% of the city's or village's dwelling units located within
10 mobile home parks.
11 Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take
1 effect unless all of the following bills of the 92nd Legislature
2 are enacted into law:
