SUBSTITUTE FOR

HOUSE BILL NO. 4278

     A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled

"The revised school code,"

(MCL 380.1 to 380.1852) by adding section 1164.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

     Sec. 1164. Consistent with section 10, if a school district or

public school academy has any community service requirements for

high school graduation, a pupil's parent or legal guardian has the

right to appeal those requirements to the board of the school

district or board of directors of the public school academy.
