A bill to amend 1980 PA 450, entitled
"The tax increment finance authority act,"
by amending section 26 (MCL 125.1826).
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec.
26. (1) A public facility, building, or structure which
that is determined by the municipality to have significant
historical
interests historic interest shall be preserved in a
manner as considered necessary by the municipality in accordance
with
laws relative to the preservation of
historical historic
sites.
(2) An authority shall refer all proposed changes to the
exterior of sites listed on the state register of historic sites
and the national register of historic places to the applicable
historic
district commission created under
Act No. 169 of the
Public
Acts of 1970, as amended, being sections 399.201 to 399.212
of
the Michigan Compiled Laws the
local historic districts act,
1970
PA 169, MCL 399.201 to 399.215, or to the secretary
of state
department of history, arts, and libraries for review.
