A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled
"Natural resources and environmental protection act,"
by amending section 46502 (MCL 324.46502), as added by 1995 PA 57,
and by adding section 40113c.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 40113c. If an order issued under this part requires that
a trap or other catching device, scaffold or raised platform, or
blind for the taking of animals display a person's name, address,
driver license number, or any combination thereof, then that
requirement and any other requirement or prohibition pertaining to
that information on the catching device, scaffold or raised
platform, or blind shall instead be construed to apply to the
number of the person's kill tag, hunting license, raptor capture
permit, nuisance control permit, or fishing license, as applicable.
Sec. 46502. (1) A person shall not set, place, erect, or cause
to
be set, placed, or erected, or use a fishing shanty at
any time
upon the ice in waters over which the state has jurisdiction,
unless
the name and address fishing license number of
the owner
is affixed to each side of the outside of the fishing shanty in
legible letters
numbers not less than 2 inches in height. The
letters
numbers shall be readily visible and consist of materials
that are not soluble in water.

Placing the owner's name and address fishing license
number on a piece of wood, plastic, or other material and affixing
that piece of material to the fishing shanty is not compliance with
this section.
