A bill to amend 1956 PA 218, entitled
"The insurance code of 1956,"
(MCL 500.100 to 500.8302) by adding section 3104a.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 3104a. An automobile insurer may adopt and uniformly
apply to all personal protection insurance claims cost containment
measures. Cost containment measures to be adopted under this
section shall be determined by each automobile insurer and shall
apply to all personal protection insurance claims, including those
claims that may be or are being indemnified by the Michigan
catastrophic claims association under section 3104.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect January
1, 2007 and applies to all personal protection insurance claims
filed on or after January 1, 2007.
