SENATE BILL No. 586

     A bill to amend 1961 PA 236, entitled

 

"Revised judicature act of 1961,"

 

(MCL 600.101 to 600.9947) by adding sections 3185 and 3285.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 3185. An action under this chapter shall, as provided in

 

50 USC App 533, be stayed or the obligation secured by the mortgage

 

adjusted for the time period set forth in 50 USC App 533 and for 36

 

months after the person in military service is no longer on active

 

military duty. Any sale, foreclosure, or seizure of property under

 

this chapter is, as provided in 50 USC App 533, not valid if the

 

sale, foreclosure, or seizure occurs during the time period set

 

forth in 50 USC App 533 or during the 36 months after the person in

 

military service is no longer on active military duty.

 


     Sec. 3285. Any sale, foreclosure, or seizure of property under

 

this chapter is, as provided in 50 USC App 533, not valid if the

 

sale, foreclosure, or seizure occurs during the time period set

 

forth in 50 USC App 533 or during the 36 months after the person in

 

military service is no longer on active military duty.
