A resolution for the Honorable Tom Meyer.
Whereas, It is a great pleasure to express our gratitude to Tom Meyer for his six years of service in the Michigan House of Representatives. Representative Meyer's hard work and dedication to the people of Huron and Tuscola Counties and the entire state of Michigan are a testament to his enthusiasm for public service; and
Whereas, Representative Meyer came to the Michigan Legislature with decades of experience as a station manager in the radio business and a long history of civic involvement. A resident of Bad Axe, Representative Meyer serves as a member of the Huron County Michigan State University Extension Council, has volunteered for nearly 20 years with the Michigan Special Olympics, and has been a member and officer with numerous other civic organizations; and
Whereas, Representative Meyer's experience and community involvement gave him insights helpful in the lawmaking process and reflected in his work as vice-chair of the Tax Policy Committee and member of the Education Committee and the Natural Resources, Great Lakes, Land Use, and Environment Committee. Representative Meyer has been a strong advocate for Michigan's business owners, children, and farmers and worked to ensure the safety of all Michigan residents; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives, That we offer this expression of tribute to commend and thank the Honorable Tom Meyer for his notable contributions to this legislative body and to our entire state; and be it further
Resolved, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to Representative Meyer as evidence of our gratitude and best wishes.
