A bill to amend 1998 PA 58, entitled
"Michigan liquor control code of 1998,"
(MCL 436.1101 to 436.2303) by adding section 214.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 214. (1) Subject to subsection (2), the commission shall
not display all or part of the federal employer identification
number, Michigan treasury tax number, or social security number or
any other personal identifying information of any licensee under
this act or any other person on any internet website maintained by
the commission or by the department of labor and economic growth on
behalf of the commission.
(2) The commission may display a list of licensees that
includes their federal employer identification numbers, Michigan
treasury tax numbers, or social security numbers on an internet
website or web page maintained by the commission or by the
department of labor and economic growth on behalf of the commission
if the commission limits access to that website or webpage to
wholesalers, the commission, the department of labor and economic
growth, and employees of the commission and department of labor and
economic growth.
(3) As used in this section, "personal identifying
information" means that term as defined in section 3 of the
identity theft protection act, 2004 PA 452, MCL 445.63.
