     A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled

 

"Public health code,"

 

(MCL 333.1101 to 333.25211) by adding section 17760.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 17760. A dispensing prescriber, a delegatee of a

 

dispensing prescriber, or an industrial clinic or other prescriber

 

practice location, which prescriber, delegatee, clinic, or other

 

location is licensed, registered, or otherwise permitted to

 

distribute, prescribe, dispense, or administer a prescription drug

 

in the course of professional practice in this state, shall not

 

distribute, dispense, or administer a prescription drug to a minor

 

without the written consent of the minor's parent, guardian, or

 

person in loco parentis. As used in this section, "minor" means an


 

individual under 18 years of age who is not emancipated under

 

section 4 of 1968 PA 293, MCL 722.4.
