     A bill to assure that returning veterans are informed of

 

state-funded veterans service organizations; and to prescribe

 

certain duties of certain state agencies.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 1. This act shall be known and may be cited as the

 

"veterans welcome home act".

 

     Sec. 2. The department of labor and economic growth shall

 

include in its welcome home letter that is now sends to returning

 

veterans a list of all state-funded veterans service organizations.

 

The list shall be ordered by the amount of state funding, with the

 

veterans service organization that receives the highest amount of

 

state funding listed first and the remaining organizations listed

 


in descending order.
