ENROLLED SENATE BILL No. 754
AN ACT to assure that returning veterans are informed of state-funded veterans service organizations; and to prescribe certain duties of certain state agencies.
The People of the State of Michigan enact:
Sec. 1. This act shall be known and may be cited as the "veterans welcome home act".
Sec. 2. The department of labor and economic growth shall include in its welcome home letter that it now sends to returning veterans a list of all state-funded veterans service organizations. The list shall be ordered by the amount of state funding, with the veterans service organization that receives the highest amount of state funding listed first and the remaining organizations listed in descending order.
This act is ordered to take immediate effect.
