A resolution of tribute for the Honorable Jack Brandenburg.
Whereas, It is with great admiration that we thank and honor Representative Jack Brandenburg for his service to the Michigan Legislature and the people of Michigan. For the last 6 years, Representative Brandenburg has been a valued member of this legislative body, representing the interests of the Twenty-fourth District with passion and commitment; and
Whereas, Jack Brandenburg earned a degree in business administration with a minor in economics from Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio. For nearly 30 years, he has owned and operated his own railroad supply business. He is an active member of his community, and prior to election to the legislature, served on Michigan's S.A.F.E. Schools Task Force and as appointee to the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority; and
Whereas, For the last 6 years, Representative Brandenburg has been a champion for fiscal responsibility in the House of Representatives. He has been a member of the Appropriations Committee, serving as chair of the Corrections and Economic Development Subcommittees for the Ninety-third Legislature. Representative Brandenburg's business experience has been an invaluable resource to the committee and the legislature as a whole and will be missed; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives, That we offer this expression of admiration and thanks to Representative Jack Brandenburg for his dedication to the people of the state of Michigan as a member of this legislative body; and be it further
Resolved, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to Representative Brandenburg as evidence of our gratitude and best wishes.
