A resolution of tribute for the Honorable Paul Condino.
Whereas, It is with deep appreciation for his commitment to our state and his notable efforts as a lawmaker that we join in expressing our respect and gratitude to our colleague Paul Condino as he completes his service as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives. Over the past 6 years, he has diligently directed his talents to addressing our state's problems in a host of public policy areas; and
Whereas, A graduate of Wayne State University and the Detroit College of Law, Paul Condino came to Lansing with experience as a private practice attorney and as a member and president of the Southfield City Council. The insights he gained in carrying out these responsibilities complemented his intellect and temperament of fairness and compassion to make him an effective advocate for the people of his district and all of Michigan; and
Whereas, Representative Condino has been active on several key issues, including the challenges facing our state in tax policy, criminal and civil procedures, corrections, and local government. As the chair of the Judiciary Committee, he has played a pivotal role in the work of strengthening our legal system to promote effectiveness, efficiency, and justice. His leadership on the development of the Revised Uniform Anatomical Gift Law was especially invaluable, and this legislation will have a positive impact on many families in the years to come. Clearly, his insight and dedication have earned him the respect of members on both sides of the aisle; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives, That we commend and thank Representative Paul Condino as he brings to a close his service to this legislative body; and be it further
Resolved, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to Representative Condino as evidence of our gratitude and best wishes.
