A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5076 AS INTRODUCED 6-10-09
The bill would amend the Michigan Memorial Highway Act to designate Highway M-99 beginning at the south city limits of the city of Hillsdale and continuing northwest to the intersection of Highway M-99 and Highway US 12 in Hillsdale County as the "75th Infantry Combat Division Memorial Highway."

FISCAL IMPACT:
Section 3 of the Michigan Memorial Highway Act indicates that the state transportation department shall only provide for the erection of suitable markers indicating the name of the highway "when sufficient private contributions are received to completely cover the cost of erecting and maintaining those markers." As a result, the bill has no state or local fiscal impact.
