A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 6200 AS INTRODUCED 5-20-10

The bill would amend the Michigan Memorial Highway Act to designate highway M-80 in Chippewa County beginning at the intersection of M-80 and I-75 and continuing east until the end as "Veteran's Memorial Highway." 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Section 2 of the Michigan Memorial Highway Act indicates that the state transportation department shall only provide for the erection of suitable markers indicating the name of the highway "when sufficient private contributions are received to completely cover the cost of erecting and maintaining the markers."  As a result, the bill has no state or local fiscal impact.
