SENATE BILL No. 1252

     A bill to amend 1917 PA 253, entitled

 

"An act to authorize the transfer of moneys from the general fund

of counties, in certain instances, to the county road fund of said

counties, to be used in the construction, maintenance and repair of

highways,"

 

by amending section 1 (MCL 247.121).

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 1. When in any county, operating under the county road

 

system of the state, there is a surplus of moneys in the general

 

fund, the board of supervisors of such If a county operating under

 

the county road system has a surplus of money in the county general

 

fund, the county board of commissioners of that county may, by

 

resolution, direct the transfer of a part of such the surplus from

 

the county general fund to the county road fund , to be used for

 

the construction, maintenance, and repair of highways under the


 

supervision and direction of the board of county road

 

commissioners. : Provided, however, That in no case shall moneys

 

raised by general taxes, levied on the real and personal property

 

of such county, be diverted under the provisions of this act.
