SENATE BILL No. 1365

 

 

June 2, 2010, Introduced by Senators WHITMER, PRUSI, JACOBS, BRATER, CLARK-COLEMAN, BASHAM, SWITALSKI, CHERRY, BARCIA, HUNTER and ANDERSON and referred to the Committee on Campaign and Election Oversight.

 

 

 

     A bill to amend 1976 PA 388, entitled

 

"Michigan campaign finance act,"

 

(MCL 169.201 to 169.282) by adding section 55e.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 55e. A person that knowingly violates section 55a, 55b,

 

55c, or 55d is guilty of a felony punishable, if the person is an

 

individual, by a fine of not more than $5,000.00 or imprisonment

 

for not more than 3 years, or both, or, if the person is not an

 

individual, by a fine of triple the amount of the independent

 

expenditure that violated section 55a, 55b, 55c, or 55d.

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect

 

unless all of the following bills of the 95th Legislature are

 

enacted into law:

 

     (a) Senate Bill No. 1364.                                  

 


         

 

     (b) Senate Bill No. 1362.                                  

 

         

 

     (c) Senate Bill No. 1363.                                  

 

         

 

     (d) Senate Bill No. 1361.
