CONTENT
The bill would amend the Emergency 9-1-1 Service Enabling Act to allow $7.0 million from the Emergency 9-1-1 Fund to be used in fiscal year 2011-12 to fund a portion of the costs of the Michigan Public Safety Communications System.

FISCAL IMPACT
Public Act 206 of 2010 authorized the use of $5.0 million in FY 2009-10, and $7.0 million in FY 2010-11 from these funds for the same purposes as this bill would allow. The funds authorized for use by the bill are appropriated within the Department of State Police for the Michigan Public Safety Communications System for FY 2011-12 under Public Act 63 of 2011.
