CONTENT

The bill would amend the Michigan Vehicle Code to allow a temporary traffic control signal to be located on, over, or adjacent to the traveled portion of the roadway, subject to Federal law.

FISCAL IMPACT

The bill would have an indeterminate but nominal fiscal impact at the State and local levels. By broadening placement restrictions on temporary traffic control signals, the bill would permit road agencies to choose from a wider variety of traffic control products. This could result in savings for road agencies in equipment rentals and purchases.
