A bill to amend 2014 PA 276, entitled
"Methamphetamine abuse reporting act,"
by amending section 4 (MCL 28.124).
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 4. (1) The information provided to NADDI under this
section shall be for the purpose of generating a stop-sale alert
through NPLEx for individuals who have been convicted of
methamphetamine-related
offenses. The Except as
provided in
subsection (2), the stop-sale alert applies until the expiration of
10 years after the individual is convicted of the methamphetamine-
related offense.
(2) The stop-sale alert applies until the expiration of 5
years after the individual is convicted of violating section
7430c(3) of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.7430c.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days
after the date it is enacted into law.
Enacting section 2. This amendatory act does not take effect
unless Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No. 4767 (request no.
01908'15) of the 98th Legislature is enacted into law.
