A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled
"The revised school code,"
by amending section 1534 (MCL 380.1534).
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec.
1534. A hearing impaired person who For a deaf,
deafblind, or hard of hearing person who has completed all of the
requirements
for certification a
teaching certificate under this
act, other than the student teaching experience with hearing
students, and who is verified as having successfully completed the
student
teaching experience in a special program serving hearing
impaired
students, at that person's request shall be issued by the
state
department of education deaf,
deafblind, or hard of hearing
students, upon that person's request, the department shall issue to
that
person a teaching certificate limited
to teaching hearing
impaired
deaf, deafblind, and hard of
hearing students in
appropriate programs.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days
after the date it is enacted into law.
