SUMMARY:

Senate Bill 800 would amend the Social Welfare Act to remove an obsolete reference to funding prescribed in Section 117d of the Act.

Section 117d, which required certain factors to be considered in allocating state funds to a country juvenile justice services program, was repealed on May 15, 2018 by Public Act 21 of 2018 (Senate Bill 529).[1]

Senate Bill 800 would take effect 90 days after being enacted.

Senate Bill 800 would have no fiscal impact on the state of Michigan or on local units of government.
