CONTENT
The bill would amend the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act to modify the definition of "State licensed residential facility" to apply to a structure that provided 24-hour supervision to 10 or fewer individuals if the facility were licensed under the child care licensing Act and located on a parcel of 20 acres or more.
Under the Act, "State licensed residential facility" means a structure constructed for residential purposes that is licensed by the State under the Adult Foster Care Facility Licensing Act, and provides residential services for six or fewer individuals under 24-hour supervision or care.
Under the bill, "State licensed residential facility" also would mean a structure constructed for residential purposes that was licensed under the Adult Foster Care Facility Licensing Act and provided residential services for 10 or fewer individuals under 24-hour supervision or care if the facility were licensed under the child care licensing Act, and was located on a parcel of 20 acres or more.
